Stress-test the division beyond one matchup

Counter Analysis asks how to improve a design against one known opponent. Division Gauntlet asks a different question: whether the design remains broadly useful when the opponent and terrain change.

Quick and full Gauntlet

Quick Gauntlet samples roughly 500 opponent designs for a fast robustness check. Full Gauntlet expands to 10,000 deterministic opponent designs across eight terrain types while attacking and defending, producing 160,000 modeled matchup checks for the selected division.

What the result is for

The Gauntlet is useful for finding blind spots that a favorable single matchup can hide. A division may look excellent against one soft target yet become inefficient against armor, struggle while attacking, or lose much of its advantage in difficult terrain. The broader matrix helps expose those patterns.

Deterministic means reproducible

The opponent set and analytical checks are deterministic, so the same configuration can be compared consistently after a design change. That makes Gauntlet useful for A/B testing: save a baseline, change one important part of the division, then run the same broad evaluation again.

Do not confuse broad robustness with one best template

Gauntlet results are planner-analytical comparisons, not a universal tier list. Your actual production capacity, doctrine, technologies, expected enemies and terrain still determine what is useful in a campaign or multiplayer environment. Use the broad score to locate weaknesses, then return to Division Lab for the matchups that matter most.

Accuracy boundary
