Air Lab combines certified 1.19.2 airframe and module data with a bounded analytical air-combat model. It is built for relative comparison and theorycrafting while making a clear distinction between source-backed aircraft values and executable-inferred combat behavior.

Build mission-relevant aircraft

Choose an airframe and compatible modules, then inspect the resulting speed, agility, air attack, air defense, range and mission-specific statistics. The retained 1.19.2 source data includes certified airframes, modules, slot rules and mission-stat blocks used by the designer.

Compare the exact designs you care about

Air Lab compares two built aircraft under an explicit mission scenario. Detection is an input to the scenario rather than an automatically derived regional value, and source-backed Air Superiority doctrine detection modifiers can scale that baseline where supported.

Relative ranking is stronger than exact loss prediction

The current dogfight model uses bounded executable-inferred relationships for engagement, speed and agility effects. That makes it useful for controlled design comparisons, but the project does not present the resulting loss counts as exact HOI4 executable output. Weather, night behavior, accidents, detailed wing scheduling and several operational Air mechanics remain outside the certified model.

Use controlled experiments

Keep the mission and opponent fixed, change one aircraft feature at a time, and compare the result. That makes it easier to identify whether speed, agility, attack, defense or a doctrine choice actually caused the modeled exchange to move.

Accuracy boundary

Airframe/module values are source-certified where retained; parts of the combat model remain executable inferred until Oracle validation supplies real 1.19.2 capture data. The full evidence boundary is documented on the methodology page.
